How many of you religious people believe in creationism or evolution? and why?

Im just curious because i go to a private conservative Anglican school, evolution is taught as fact (considering it is to me). My school like most other private schools where i live is religious but teaches evolution not creationism, wat do u think of this?

Bought a vanilla visa prepaid gift card today, just to order items online..now starting to doubt it'll work..?

I got a vanilla visa prepaid gift card today at wal greens, and wanted it specifically to make orders online. The gift card I got today was titled, "Online Shopping Vanilla Visa Gift Card", so it seemed pretty obvious to me that would be the one I wanted. The value at the top was selectable from 25-500. Before the purchase, I read all the information on the back, and it also stated that it was "usable wherever visa debit cards are accepted." So, I thought this seemed pretty awesome, no credit card needed to do some simple online shopping, just gotta use the gift card. I put 110 dollars on it, and they charged the activation fee and gave me the receipt. I wanted to make sure it worked so I got a bottled water and some lotto tix as some gifts to the family, it didnt get declined (when checking on vanillavisa.com, shows still pending), and they had me sign for it, although none of my info had been registered to the card. The cardholder agreement that came with it stated that if I wanted to do online, phone or catalog orders, I would need to register my "name and address" to the card on their website before ordering. When I did it, it only asked for the zip code, nothing else. After searching online, I have seen many horrible reviews about these cards, and I am concerned that there may be no help for me to be able to order online, because I believe that the online stores generally check the name and address on the card to make sure it matches up. I am aware I can not do anything with paypal also to place an order with this card, but I would like to know where it can be used at online, since it is looking as if most places will decline it due to no name on card. I just called their customer service line (which everyone says really sucks and can not get anyone to answer the phones, yet I got through at 1:45 am the morning after Christmas), and I asked him about this, and told him what the agreement stated about name and address, and he asked for card number, exp date and id number..he told me that the card was activated for internet orders, and I had already registered the zip code and that was all I needed..asked him some sites available that this card can be used on and he said "I can't say"..Then got off. I would love to know what exactly I should expect or if there is a way to register this card so it has my name..or if there are any sites anyone knows will accept these cards..?

If you can't smell it on the mattresses up close then it's highly unlikely that its them. Perhaps if you clean the carpets, wash curtains and bedding. Clean from ceiling to floor it will help with the smell.=)

My friend and I would like to go to Scotland, England, Ireland for sure. If we can learn some French, we would like to visit france too. As for now that is the plan. But the problem is, it only is letting me do hotel+flight on roundtrips...I know if you book a flight and hotel at the same time you get a better deal...But, since those are the low tourist months, would I be ok just, Booking a flight from new york to Dublin from say October 3rd with the return date november 8th? Then just getting flights and hotels as we go along? I read that because it is the slow season getting rooms shouldn't be an issue and I figure I can just book one way tickets in between with hotels online...Then that way we can stay as long as we like and have a flexible trip? Immersion heater on or off?

4 years ago an immersion heater was put in our loft to supply two showers only. The rest of our hot water is via a combi boiler. Being farely new it is in good condition and well lagged. Why is my Grandfather Clock not chiming on the hour?

I have a Daniel Dakota Grandfather clock that was given to us by a friend. It will chime when I click the set on on the back but it will not chime on the hour. It is battery operated. A double A bat needed for running the time and 2 Ds to run the chime, I believe that is what those are for. There is a wire that runs from the AA area, a wire that runs from the pendulum, and a wire that runs from the speaker that puts out the chime sound. I have crisscrossed these wires every which way I can think of, but it will still not chime on the hour. It will, though, chime if I am winding the clock backwards. It will start chiming automatically at 10 till the hour. There is a click on the hour but that is it. Running backward, a click on the hour and a click at 10 till, which like mentioned before, sets off the chime. If anyone has any idea as to how to get this clock to chime on the hour, it would be great-fully appreciated. One last thing, if it helps, this clock was originally bought at Wal-Mart, but I do not believe they sell these anymore. Thanks for any help!

Losing 42 pounds with weight watchers?

Absolutely, I think we have all felt like that before! I have lost a **** ton of weight (about 90lbs. since July) and the way to do it is to set very small obtainable goals and when you hit them, reward yourself with a non food item. For instance, when I hit 203 lbs. I am getting another tattoo. I do have pics of me at 140 lbs, 160 lbs, hell even 185 lbs and looking at them does motivate me. Don't focus on losing a whole stone, I try in lbs to focus on losing to drop my BMI down 1% which is 6-7 lbs.

Your 17 and don't drink or smoke, your grades are excellent, there are always going to be people with better grades. Keep active, for now just do the best you can if your good at many things you will find your calling in life in a few years, for now make sure you get plenty of exercise and time spent away from books, they will always be there. It's more important to keep healthy as soon you'll be more able to use all the great things you already have learned. There are thousands of people who have done great things with no education at all. Hang in.

Like most factories (and that's pretty much what they are), they have a schedule, and stick to it. They are probably set up to know how much stone they can move out of the mine in a day, and that's how much they blast away. They probably drill the holes ahead of time. Then they start work at 6, and lay the charges first thing, then blast at 7. It would be really dumb and unsafe to leave charges out over night. Anyone breaking in could set them off.

I recommend calling the emergency vets office. Usually if you call your regular vet in after hours they will give you the number for an emergency vet. I wouldn't induce vomiting without talking to the vet first, sometimes inducing vomiting can make things much worse.

Yeah, I hear you. I live in Alberta, and we've been having crazy weather this winter. We haven't had this much snow here in almost 30 years. Then after this bad snow storm in early January, we had this awful cold snap where the daily HIGHS were in the -20s (Celsius), some days with wind chills in the -30s for an entire week. It was brutal. In the last few weeks, we've been having extreme temperature swings. For example, two weeks ago we had one day where it was 10 degrees C, then a couple days later it was minus 30. I'm in Calgary, so we get chinooks that bring warm air over the Rockies, and can cause really sudden temperature increases, but this year has been bad even for Calgary. We have a saying that you can experience all four seasons in one day here. And there's really no such things as "spring" or "fall" either. There's not really an answer as far as how long because everyone's hair grows at a different rate. All of the things you are doing are good except for the straightening. That will still fry at least the ends of your hair no matter how much stuff you put into it. Any chemicals like dying it will weaken your hair too. Your hair isn't too far from that length so it shouldn't take too long as long as you get it trimmed regularly and take care of it. Hope this helps.

It's going to cost you more to make the move to a manual than you will probably ever save on gas. If you are really that concerned about it i would just sell it for a manual integra or another car. But doing a transmission swap (usually upwards of $2,000) is more money than you'll ever spend on gas probably. It's not worth it if you ask me, and i guarantee you your going to need help on it, it's a lot of work and requires a lot of different tools and knowledge. Thats why shops charge so much for transmission swaps.

Hi all I have two Kicker Comps 300w 4ohm subs running off a Sony Xplode 600w 4 channel amp bridged all coming off a stock Chevy S10 head unit with the sliced in loc80 rca converter. My subs aren't hitting the way they should what could cause this. Losing weight before summer comes?

Ok well i'm currently on weightwatchers and have been for 2 weeks and have lost about 7 pounds(yay!) but i'm not noticing any difference in the way my tummy looks. I'm 5'9" and weigh 164 now. I work out 4-5 times a week, i do lots of cardio like, Mondays i jog 4 miles, Tuesday i do cardio kickboxing, Wednesday i do body jam, Thursday rest, Friday zumba, Saturday body jam or yoga, and Sundays sometimes i run. I've been doing this for over a month now (the exercising, not the diet) and i have not seen any noticeable results. So any suggestions on how to be bathing suit ready by summer time (3months) and also what should my target weight be? right now im aiming for 140lbs. Thanks for any answers :)

The first item does not fit the 2nd Gen because of the rounded edges. The film will not stick to the edges and will peel off. If you read some of the reviews, the second item does not fit the 2nd Gen that nicely either (it would be okay as a screen protector, but the back film is not proportionate to the back of the 2nd Gen iPod Touch). When using both items, you have to be very careful as to align the film correctly and make sure there are no dust/lint particles, hair, ect. on the film. Personally, I wouldn't shell out the $15 for something that doesn't fit that well, but it's your call.

She does not seem to see that it did matter to me a lot, and that I was hurt that she did that so early on. I am not angry that she did that, but that to this day she sees it as sowing her oats and girl-power kind of stuff, while I thought it was a big deal (and she seemed to at the time). More questions about my Intrepid?

Last week I asked about some diagnosis possibilites for a 2001 Intrepid. The response was I needed spark, compression, and fuel. I have compression and fuel and we have determined that there is a coil for each spark plug because there is no distributor. It sounds like the starter is not engaging but not sure about that. We put a coil tester on one of the coils and didnt' get a spark. So a couple of questions. If the starter is bad, would it prevent the coils from getting spark? And then second if one coil is bad, would it prevent the other coils from getting spark? We are kinda stumped on what just made the car shut off going down the road and now it doesn't run. Why wont my speakers work on my computer?

I have logitech speakers, they were working ok accept one, and my friend was getting rid of some of his speakers so i switched his ones for mine, which I decided the sound wasn't clear enough, so I switched it back around to my logitech ones, they now don't work. What I mean by don't work is that it will only work when I try test them using the on screen sound tester, but when ever I try play a file that has sound, whether its you tube or I-tunes, it doesn't play any sound. I can read notes and play the piano by ear. I am playing elton john songs bc i have good natural rhythm and can read the notes. What To Do With An Unresponsive Student?

Have you tried talking to him? Talking...not griping (as teachers we have to remember there is a huge difference). I am amazed at what an impact this has with my very troubled students. Just ask him how things are going. What does he do with mom and/or dad? Does he have any pets? etc. This usually leads you to some sort of issue that may be bothering him or may have effected him in the past. Six years old is very young to start this behavior. I have only known of one other student like this, this young and he was basically raised with fighting, drugs, mom and dad going in and out of prison, even shootings in his home. These are HUGE emotional issue warning flags in my opinion.

I personally love Tree's that have ornaments that have been collected through the years, because those have the most meaning to me. I put multicolored lights and clear lights on the tree. I usually put up 2 big tree's and 4 or 5 2 foot trees. I love garland where ever I can put it and I decorate that to. I love wreaths all over the house and on the doors of my kid's rooms. My computer won't turn off? Please help!?

My aunt thinks my mom is a pushover?

My mom usually lets me and my brother have whatever we want, but always at discounted prices. When we went to visit my aunt in Colorado last month, my mom bought me a pair of Adidas slides that were on sale for $10 and a fleece coat from the brand Comlumbia for $19.98 and my aunt seemed to get angry over this. My brother and me know that we're spoiled, but the thing is my aunt spends more money on her kids than my mom spends on us. Ok calm down. You are on the right track. BUT. The exercises you are doing are not for your belly. The only part of your body that works the muscles in the lower abs are the legs. I know this sounds weird but its true. So Try this. Lay on the floor on your back with or without a mat. If you have back problems you may need the mat. Raise you legs. If you place your hand on your lower abdomen you will feel it move. Raise your legs about 6 inches from the floor (no weights) hold that position and the lower them back down. Do not let them touch the floor. Your stomach will control the legs and you will be working and toning your lower abs. Keep you lower back on the mat or floor. DO NOT ARCH your back. If you have a problem or it hurts your back place a pillow under your at the base of your thigh. Make your stomach muscles control the legs going up and down. Do this slowly as many times as you can. Add more reps as you can. Never raise them above the floor more than 6 inches or so. You will find out that the stomach is no longer in control if you do. Try it out you will see what I mean. And do not touch the floor until you are done or resting.

We can see how people spoke back then, what they did, how they dressed, their customs and traditions, etcetera, and compare it to modern culture. Also, by requiring high school students to read clic novels in school, we're preserving them. A lot of people wouldn't pick up a clic novel if they hadn't been required to in school. Infatuated?

I was in a relationship a few months ago, where I was head over heels in love with this girl... and she was pretty accepting, which lead me to believe she retained some of the same feelings. Well, to make a long story short she dumped me for another guy after I left college. Why don't teams want to give Shawn Marion a long-term contract?

People say that he's a problem in the locker room but I think he has more of a problem with the owner of the Heat not giving him a contract. He's one of the greatest and most versatile defenders in NBA History and if you don't think he's an all-time defender you're sleeping. I don't know who does the voting for the all-nba defensive teams but it's stupid that he's never been on that team. PC setup Worth Keeping?

I have a 4 year old Alienware that has 2 Pentium 4 CPUs @ 3.20 GHZ, 2 gb of ram, and a ATI Raedon hd3800 HIS q, and the downside is the motherboard only supports AGP. I was wondering if i could find a mother board i could put the two CPU's on and make it PCIE 2.0 acceptable too, or if i should just upgrade the processor and motherboard, or just add 2 gb of ram on it and use it for a little while.
