Why is Reagan so revered; like Bush he only had half a brain; wasn't Nixon far more intelligent ?

Exit polls taken in 1984 indicated that the number one reason why Reagan was reelected was because he "has strong qualities of leadership." I think everyone knew that his I.Q. was lower than the average President's, but intelligence isn't the number one factor in successful leadership.
