Doctor Who "Smith and Jones"?

Just a conformation of a theory, did the Doctor cross his own timeline? when he took his tie and said to Martha "like so", then when they meet in the hospital he has no recollection of the event and after the party he goes back and gets his tie, so when the Doctor meets Martha in the street, has he actaully met her already?
