2 Macbeth questions?!?

The first is all three - the second is No. 2. Macbeth's tragedy is that he is highly thought of but gambles everything and loses - that is the tragedy. Just like all of Shakespeare's tragedies, they are about powerful, privileged people who lose everything through their choices and their actions, c.f. Lear, Othello, Hamlet, etc. Their ego is their weak point.
