Are all adult comic book readers pseudo-intellectuals with inferiority and persecution complexes?

I'm talking about the high functioning autistics who project great meaning into freakish cartoon characters blasting "bigots" (dignified White heterouals of good breeding) with magic powers. Basically, I'm trying to understand the culture driving the comics industry.
