Is there an underlying condition that deters the efficacy of amphetamines?

First of all, I'm not a doctor, so take everything I say with a very large pinch of salt. This is probably completely irrelevant, but there seems to be some evidence that diabetes can reduce the effects of amphetamines. Maybe there is something to look into there? But I would certainly rather rely on your doctors for advice than on some random people online.
